SKILLSFUTURE@PA BASIC FLORAL ARRANGEMENT

Learn to make 3 types of floral arrangements (a hand bouquet, a table top and a floral basket) at this one day course.

Participants will learn:

To interpret the design & job specifications
To select flower & plant materials & ancillary items
To prepare & to make 3 types of flower arrangements: A Hand Bouquet, A Table Top Flower Arrangement, A Floral Basket

Who should attend:

Those who are working in a florist shop
Those who intent to be a freelance floral designer

Hillview Community Centre (accessible by Hillview MRT)

Fees: $380 SkillsFuture Credit Eligible (submit your SkillsFuture Credit claim to pay for the course)

SkillsFuture Credit aims to encourage individuals to take ownership of their skills development and lifelong learning.

All Singaporeans aged 25 and above will receive an opening credit of S$500 from January 2016.

Your credit will not expire and the government will provide periodic top-ups, so you may accumulate your credit.

Please Note:

We will cap class size to 10 participants in 2 groups of 5 participants per group. We maintain 1m physical spacing between participants. Participants are to check in using TraceTogether and have their temperature recorded. Those who are not feeling well should consult a doctor and not attend the class.

Participants are to purchase fresh flowers, accessories like ribbons and wrapping papers and containers for the class. Estimated total costs is between $70 to $80 (depending on availability of fresh flowers) for 3 floral arrangements. They are to bring scissors and pens to take notes.

A Certificate of Achievement will be issued to participants who successfully completed the course.

Participants are to bring bags to bring home their creations.

Participants to wear covered shoes.
